The implementation of the Survivorship Passport in Italy was officially launched during an AIEOP meeting (Italian Association of Paediatric Haematology and Oncology) on 13 February 2018 in Bologna, Italy.
All 53 AIEOP centres in Italy will be able to issue the Survivorship Passport to patients at the end of their treatment. The Survivorship Passport will be linked to the two main existing databases in Italy, thereby facilitating the data input.
This data link could serve as a model for other countries wishing to implement the Survivorship Passport.
