1st SIOP Europe Summer School for Paediatric Oncology
We’re pleased to announce the first SIOP Europe Student Summer School for Paediatric Oncology, taking place 8-12 July 2024 in Vienna, Austria.
This initiative is designed for European medical students, offering an opportunity to delve into the complexities of paediatric cancer.
Under the guidance of experts in the field, students will be equipped with a comprehensive understanding of paediatric oncology, ranging from diagnostic procedures to therapeutic interventions. Students will gain invaluable insights through lectures, interactive workshops and case discussions.

Young SIOPE & ERN PaedCan Webinar Series
The Young SIOPE and ERN PaedCan Interactive Webinar Series on Most Challenging cases in Paediatric Oncology will continue in 2024 with 7 new cases. We kicked off on 17 January with a webinar on the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of gastrointestinal stromal tumor in an adolescent patient, presented by Marta Andrzejewska from Poland, with expert Monika Sparber-Sauer from Germany.

Educational Sessions at SIOPE Annual Meeting
The SIOP Europe Educational Committee will organise a series of educational sessions at the upcoming SIOP Europe Annual Meeting. Confirmed topics include “State-of-the-art treatment of febrile neutropenia” and “Post-transplantation lymphoproliferative disease – a challenging situation in PHO”. Stay tuned for additional topics!

The annual Methods in Clinical Cancer Research Workshop (MCCR) is a week-long course designed to educate and train early-career investigators based in Europe (EU and non-EU), Mediterranean or Middle East regions in the best practices of clinical trial design and provide access to experienced clinical investigators from different institutions and countries with expertise across all areas of clinical research. Apply by 1 February here.
ESCP Webinars, in which we explain the new European clinical recommendations for best practice for each childhood cancer. Webinars and recordings can be found here.
ESO-SIOP Europe e-Learning pathways covering topics in paediatric oncology. Each 45-minute e-Session is presented by leading oncology experts. Recordings remain freely available on demand for further visits here.
