c4c Multi-Stakeholder Meeting on Paediatric Atopic Dermatitis

16/12/2021

2nd second c4c International Multi-Stakeholder Meeting (MSM) will address paediatric Atopic Dermatitis and will take place virtually on 1-2 March 2022.

After the first MSM on paediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease held in April, this initiative led by SIOP Europe in the IMI2 C4C project will move its focus on Atopic Dermatitis. The objective of the meeting is to propose a strategy to improve the timely development of therapeutic innovations for children and adolescents with AD, properly addressing paediatric unmet needs through science, introducing innovative development pathways and increasing accessibility for all patients.

Stemming from the Paediatric Strategy Forum concept developed by ACCELERATE in childhood cancer, Multi-Stakeholder Meetings have been conceived with the aim to facilitate dialogue and provide an opportunity for constructive interactions between relevant stakeholders (patients/patient representatives, clinicians, academics, pharmaceutical companies and regulators) in all paediatric specialties on topics requiring open discussion on development of medicines in the best interests of children and adolescents.

The goal of these meetings is to share information, in a pre-competitive setting, to define unmet medical needs, to define how best to address those needs and facilitate the development of innovative medicines towards eventually their introduction into the standard-of-care of children and adolescents.
