We are delighted to announce the continuation of the Young SIOPE and ERN PaedCan Interactive Webinar Series on the Most Challenging Cases in Paediatric Oncology for 2027!
Since its successful launch in 2021, this series has become a cornerstone of engaging education and international exchange. In 2027, we will feature seven difficult and educational clinical cases, presented in a dynamic format:
- A 15-minute presentation by a young oncologist (that could be you!)
- Followed by a 15-minute live discussion with a renowned expert in the field
What’s in it for you?
As a selected presenter, you’ll receive mentorship through two preparatory meetings with the expert and moderation team to refine your case and presentation.
How to Apply:
To be considered as a presenter, please email complete the short application form by 11 October 2026 with:
- The title of your proposed clinical case
- A brief summary of the case (max. 150 words), including a key takeaway message
- Your CV
Please ensure your case is appropriate for a virtual, international audience, and complies with GDPR and your institution’s and country’s regulations regarding patient anonymity, consent, and data protection.
What kind of cases are we looking for?
We are seeking challenging and educational cases—not necessarily ultra-rare—that stimulate discussion and highlight:
- Innovative or novel therapies (e.g., targeted treatments)
- Complex ethical or clinical decisions
- Multidisciplinary management
- Controversial or unusual therapeutic approaches
A joint committee of Young SIOPE, the SIOPE Education Committee, and ERN PaedCan representatives will review submissions and select the seven most compelling cases, ensuring diversity across tumour types and geographic representation. Webinars will be CME accredited.
