A new group, Young SIOPE, has been formed within SIOP Europe.
Its initial aims are to develop a programme for young oncologists to participate in the SIOP Europe Annual Meeting.
A first call for interested young oncologists received more than 50 responses. Subsequently, the group developed a survey that was circulated to the wider community and received more than 200 responses within days.
Based on the results of this survey, Young SIOPE is currently looking for people who wish to take an active role in developing the further aims of this group, including developing a programme for young oncologists to be able to participate in tumour groups and the development of a mentorship programme.
