ESO eIn co-operation with the European School of Oncology, Nature Reviews in Clinical Oncology and Critical Reviews in Oncology Hematology, SIOPE is collaborating in the organisation of a series of free distance online learning programmes called “paediatric oncology e-sessions”. During such educational sessions an expert from the SIOPE community delivers a lecture (a slide presentation of 25-30 minutes) and participants have the opportunity to submit text questions (before and during the webcast) live on the internet. Questions are received by the “discussant” who puts them forward, together with his/her own, to the “expert” for discussion that is held during the webcast session itself (a 15-20-minute question-and-answer slot). The first of these e-sessions already took place in January and focused on medulloblastoma in children. The upcoming sessions will focus on the development of new active agents in paediatric oncology (21 July 2016, expert: Prof Gilles Vassal) as well as on Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in children (3 November 2016, expert: Prof Martin Schrappe) from 18.15 to 19.00 CET on the portal www.e-ESO.net. Each session (live and recorded) is CME accredited by ACOE (as well as AMA PRA and within the ESMO-MORA programme) and remains available after the live session for further visits. More information:
