TREL Consortium Meeting and Survivorship Care in Paediatric Oncology Workshop

The TREL Consortium met in Vilnius, Lithuania, on 24 and 25 April2023.

On the first day, the Consortium met on the premises of Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos for an update on the work carried out by each Work Package of the TREL project and the activities to be carried out in the coming months.

The second day revolved around the theme 'Survivorship Care in Paediatric Oncology' during a workshop that brought together over 50 local participants. TREL Consortium members coming from internationally leading research institutions across Europe, delivered lectures and shared their experience on different aspects related to survivorship care, including oncofertility, late effect and long term follow up as well as the PanCare Survivorship Passport (SurPass) implementation. Of note and as foreseen by the TREL project, Lithuania adopted the PanCare Surpass and several patients have already been enrolled.

The two-day event was well received by all participants and provided further proof that engagement in collaborative actions is key in spreading excellence in paediatric oncology research across Europe.
