The SIOPE AYA Committee will once again organise a session on the occasion of the upcoming SIOP Europe Annual Meeting. The convergence of exponential technologies, such as next-generation sequencing for rapidly sequencing genomes and artificial intelligence for processing large datasets into knowledge, is accelerating at an unprecedented rate. The topic this year will be “Sharing & Integrating Big Data Sets in AYA Cancer Population”, with several high-profile speakers and a panel discussion.
The SIOPE AYA Committee is currently undertaking several projects, including a collaboration with European Clinical Trial Groups on improving the inclusion of the AYA population in the clinical trials of each tumour entity as well as the development of an “AYA certificate” based on guidance and recommendations for caring for the AYA population. We hope to update the community about these initiatives at the upcoming SIOP Europe Annual Meeting.
