We are pleased to welcome Dr. Deborah (Deb) Gubler to the Steering Committee as the representative of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC). Dr. Gubler is a specialist in paediatric palliative care at the University Children’s Hospital Zurich, Switzerland, and co-leads the Swiss PPC network. She also serves on the EAPC’s Children and Young People Reference Group Steering Committee. With a deep commitment to paediatric palliative care, Deb is eager to contribute to our efforts to strengthen PPC within paediatric oncology in Europe and beyond.
We also invite you to join us at the upcoming SIOP Europe Annual Meeting, taking place in Budapest, Hungary, from 12 to 16 May 2025. The programme features a range of engaging sessions involving our Working Group, including a joint session with Young SIOPE on clinical research in PPC (13 May), an educational session on end-of-life care, and a collaborative session with the SIOPE Psychosocial and Nursing WGs and CCI-Europe on communication and patient-family resources (both on 15 May).
