1st SIOP Europe Summer School for Paediatric Oncology

We’re pleased to announce the first SIOP Europe Student Summer School for Paediatric Oncology, taking place 8-12 July 2024 in Vienna, Austria.

This initiative is designed for European medical students, offering an opportunity to delve into the complexities of paediatric cancer.

Under the guidance of experts in the field, students will be equipped with a comprehensive understanding of paediatric oncology, ranging from diagnostic procedures to therapeutic interventions. Students will gain invaluable insights through lectures, interactive workshops and case discussions.

SIOP Europe Course in Paediatric Oncology

The 2nd Module of the 1st SIOP Europe Course in Paediatric Oncology took place in June in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Fellows and faculty gathered to discuss clinical aspects of childhood cancer, clinical research methods, research collaborations, statistical analysis, presentation skills and leadership. Recordings of select sessions are available on the SIOP Europe YouTube channel here.

Fellows Raphael J. Morscher, Sarah Al-Jilaihawi , Johan Hamrin , Fiona Poyer , Raheel Altaf Raja and Annika V. Rademacher published a report about their experience of the 1st Module in first edition of the European Journal of Cancer: Paediatric Oncology, available here.

ESO-SIOP Europe e-Learning pathways covering topics in paediatric oncology. Each 45-minute e-Session is presented by leading oncology experts. Recordings remain freely available on demand for further visits here.
