The SIOP Europe Host Genome Working Group (HGWG) met on 14-15 November in (a slightly rainy but still beautiful) Paris. More than 70 participants from 17 European countries met in person or online.
Results and updates from ongoing studies and collaborative projects were presented, clinical dilemmas were discussed, and four workshop sessions hosted. The interactive workshops discussed the topics which patients should undergo genetic workup, what genes should be tested, and what results disclosed. The fourth workshop discussed the criteria to evaluate the benefit of genetic testing. The results were discussed among the whole group of participants and recommendations were drafted which will be presented in an upcoming manuscript.
