News from QUARTET

22/04/2024

QUARTET continues to grow and support the delivery of high-quality radiotherapy across trials from the SIOP Europe Clinical Trial Study Groups such including the Brain Tumour Group, EpSSg, Euro-Ewing Consortium, RT-SG, and SIOPEN. As a result of the ever-increasing network and portfolio of projects, the organisation of QUARTET was reviewed and 2024 sees the launch of the QUARTET Research Leads Council, as well as some exciting new working groups for particle therapy and adaptive radiotherapy.

In 2024, QUARTET hopes to build on the previous research outputs, and we’re already off to a great start. QUARTET was delighted to attend the International Childhood Cancer Day at the European Parliament in February as well as contribute to the SMILE Workshop in March this year. Through the SMILE collaboration with the University of Manchester and The Christie, QUARTET hopes to contribute to better understanding and outcomes for children receiving radiotherapy treatment to the head and neck region.

Please come and join us at the SIOP Europe Annual Meeting 2024 in May to find out more and see some of our latest results. The QUARTET session will be held on Tuesday 14th May and will include presentations from our members on treatment planning for rhabdomyosarcoma and medulloblastoma, as well as some insights on centralised proton plan review. On May 14th, QUARTET will also present during the “Projects in the Spotlight” session. We look forward to seeing you there.

As always, more information can be found on the QUARTET website, including an updated list and links to all our publications and other outputs of interest.
