INTERACT-EUROPE 100 is an ambitious project that aims to provide cancer care professionals with the necessary training to enhance this collaboration in at least 100 Cancer Centres across Europe.
In November 2024, SIOPE achieved its task for INTERACT-EUROPE 100 project: “Development of add-on module: Review and adaptation of the inter-specialty cancer training program for pediatric oncology”.
In order to achieve this task, during these past months, SIOPE took advantage of the precious contribution and expertise of some of its working groups, as well as from some members within its network, and experts in the field of the paediatric oncology. Different units build SIOPE’s add-on module: the Basics of Pediatric Oncology, Adolescents and Young Adults with Cancer (AYA), the role of Multidisciplinary team in pediatric oncology and hematology, Nursing care in pediatric oncology and hematology, Palliative care in pediatric oncology, Psychosocial care, Supportive care and Survivorship.
SIOPE has also contributed to promoting the application of the Cancer Centres across Europe to be part of this groundbreaking project to advance cancer care and health professional training. After receiving over 120 applications from European Cancer Centres, and performing a thorough revision process, we are pleased to announce that the project has met its goal of selecting at least 100 of them!
In December 2024, SIOPE attended in Brussels the “INTERACT-EUROPE 100” Second Year Coordination Meeting. This was an opportunity to highlight all the work done by the partners during this first year, and to foster the collaboration for the second year of the project.
