About IMAGIO

IMAGIO is a 4-year project coordinated by Philips and funded by the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) and the European Commission. IMAGIO is redefining cancer care by leveraging innovative imaging and minimally invasive techniques to improve survival rates across Europe for liver cancer, lung cancer, and sarcoma patients.

The European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOP Europe) plays an important role in IMAGIO, exploring how its advancements can expedite treatments and enhance clinical outcomes for paediatric cancer patients. This involves collaboration with the SIOPE Clinical Research Council and the SIOPE Imaging Working Group, comprising of dedicated paediatric radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians.

Kick-off Meeting Sets the Stage

The IMAGIO project officially kicked off with a meeting at Philips’ headquarters in Netherlands on 30-31 May 2023. This event highlighted the significant potential for synergy across various innovation domains. The shared commitment to driving progress in cancer treatment was evident, with consortium partners determined to significantly improve the lives of cancer patients and their families across Europe and beyond.

During this pivotal meeting, key consortium partners gathered to discuss updates and lay out the roadmap for future planning. Additionally, during the summer months, the project's foundational branding guidelines, including project's logo, were developed, along with the creation of a dedicated webpage.
