ITCC Training Days ‘Concept to Cure’ (3-4 Oct 2016)

ITCCA perfect opportunity to learn the latest advances in the development of new therapies for children with cancer would be to attend the next ITCC Introductory Course in Paediatric Drug Development ‘Concept to Cure’, which will take place on 3rd and 4th October 2016 in Amsterdam. Ideally suited to doctors in training and research nurses with an interest in drug development, this course will bring students from discovering targets to integrating new therapies into front-line therapies. Teaching will be provided by a faculty of senior ITCC investigators and experts in the field , who will cover the following topics:
  • How to identify potential targets;
  • How targets are “drugged”;
  • Validating targets and drugs in preclinical testing;
  • “PIPs” and the EU regulatory framework;
  • Understanding Phase 1 trials;
  • Understanding Phase 2 trials;
  • How to integrate new drugs into front-line protocols;
  • Ethical challenges of early phase trials;
  • Understanding the responsibilities of an investigator.
Registrations are open. Course fees are free to students from ITCC centres and amount to €300 for non-ITCC affiliated students. More information:
