The past few years have been characterized by a significant improvement in understanding evolutionary pathways to metastasis, and emerging themes are attracting the attention of researchers in the field of molecular oncology. The dissection of the metastasis initiation, the biology of cancer stem cells, tumour cell plasticity and migration, and the emerging therapeutic opportunities represent the core of this curriculum are all topics of great interest.
Preclinical models to unravel the molecular biology of cancer metastasis as well as tools to conduct a translational cancer research will be provided at the EXCEMED 2nd Masterclass course in Molecular Oncology which will take place on 14-17 September 2016 in Ghent, Belgium.
