The ESMO-SIOP Europe Adolescents and Young Adults Working Group was formed in 2016 and is a collaboration between ESMO and SIOP Europe.
The Working Group is chaired by Giannis Mountzios, Greece (ESMO) and Stefan Bielack, Germany (SIOPE) and its aim is to promote education in cancer topics specific to the adolescent and young adult population.
The group will continue to develop CME accredited educational materials and advocate for an increase in research in cancers affecting AYA. In addition, collaborations between adult and paediatric oncologists and other healthcare professionals involved in AYA care will be fostered.
