Your donation will contribute to achieving at least one of the 7 objectives of the SIOPE Strategic Plan :
- Innovative treatments : to introduce safe and effective innovative treatments (ie new drugs, new technologies) into standard care
- Precision cancer medicine : to use improved risk classification and biological characteristics of both the tumor and the patient to help make decisions about which therapies are best used
- Tumor Biology : to advance knowledge of tumor biology and accelerate the transition from basic research to clinical care for patients
- Equal access : enabling equal access to standard care, expertise and clinical research across Europe
- TYA : to meet the specific needs of teenagers and young adults (TYA), in collaboration with adult oncology
- Survivors' Quality of Life : Addressing the impact of cancer treatment, better understanding an individual's genetic background/risk, and improving the quality of life of childhood cancer survivors
- Causes of Cancer : Understanding the Causes of Pediatric Cancers and Addressing Prevention Where Possible
For example, the QUARTET project for quality assurance in radiotherapy was funded thanks to the generosity of the Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation – a Luxembourg foundation that provides multidisciplinary support to families of children with cancer and actively supports research in pediatric oncology.
