Kerstin Krottendorfer is a Clinical Social Worker at the Paediatric Neuro-Oncology Unit of the Comprehensive Centre for Paediatrics of the Medical University of Vienna since 2013. She is a member of the Working Group “Social Workers in Paediatric Palliative Care in Austria” and has experience in the implementation of various aftercare-services for young adult patients (in cooperation with patient organizations). The area of responsibility is in clinical social work interventions for children with oncological diseases and their families in all treatment periods. In addition to clinical care, she is involved in research on the social dimension of paediatric oncology and the transition from paediatrics to adult health care. As well she is doing her PhD in Social Work at the University Vechta and the University of Applied Science ASH Berlin.
