Another year, another (successful) event. Around 100 participants from 20 different countries took part in our annual flagship policy event, this year in the format of an online webinar.
Organized by SIOP Europe, in partnership with CCI Europe, on the occasion of Gold September - Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the webinar focused on the need for continued and concerted efforts to promote equal access to medicines, clinical research and care across Europe. Key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patients, survivors, and EU decision-makers, gathered for a crucial discussion on how to advance the cause of childhood cancer in the EU. The insightful panel discussions and reflections highlighted the persistent inequalities in childhood oncology across Europe, and called for childhood cancer to be prioritized on the political agenda of this mandate.
As always, the mission of the European childhood cancer community remains to cure more, cure better and reduce inequalities for all those affected by this disease. Only together we can make a difference!
