The International Childhood Cancer Awareness Day (ICCD2018), hosted by MEP Elena Gentile (IT, S&D), took place on 20 February at the European Parliament in Brussels. The discussions focused on sustainable funding and that innovative ideas cannot survive if they do not get viable backing. A key takeaway message was the importance of having all the actors working together and collaborating internationally.
