Prof. D'Angio stated decades ago that "Cure is not enough" concerning surviving cancer in childhood and adolescence.

PanCareSurPass is the culmination of a 10-year-long journey, starting with the first prototype of the Survivorship Passport (SurPass) within the ENCCA and PanCareSurFup European projects. Now, PanCareSurPass brings clinicians, technicians, and survivors together to develop different implementation strategies for the tool in 6 European countries.

PanCareSurPass will complement its sister project, PanCareFollowUp, by developing a digital version of the PanCare Survivorship Passport (SurPass). With SurPass, both survivors and health care professionals have access to all the information needed to deliver good care, including a treatment summary and individualised recommendations for follow-up. It will also empower survivors to be active participants in their care. The Survivorship Passport will improve care and health conditions for childhood and adolescent cancer survivors. Therefore, the implementation of this tool is of high interest to different stakeholder groups like survivors, physicians and patients and will help overcome burdens and barriers to establish implementation strategy models for different scenarios in different countries.
