New chair of Young SIOPE
We are very happy to announce that Daniela Di Carlo will be the new Chair of Young SIOPE – congratulations! She will start her term on January 1, 2025. On this occasion, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Maria Otth, who has successfully led our group for the last three years.
Mentorship program
The pilot phase opened last spring is successfully running for seven promising young oncologists!
Now we are ready to officially open the following phase with four new ECTGs/ WGs: EICNHL, SIOPEN, Imaging WG, and Nursing WG!

Young SIOPE Podcast coming soon
We would like to introduce a newly launched project of Young SIOPE - podcasts dedicated to paediatric oncology in a new and non-traditional format. Initiated by a dedicated Young SIOPE member (Aida Zeckanovic), we are developing a first series of short podcasts - once started, we are very much looking for your input and ideas.
Young NaPHOS publication
Our manuscript "Young paediatric oncologists and haematologists in Europe - emerging needs and future perspectives" has been accepted for publication in EJC Paediatric Oncology. It describes the current situation of national junior organizations in paediatric oncology and the training paths to become a paediatric oncologist/haematologist. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all Young SIOPE members who participated in the survey and provided information for their countries.
