Our team is working diligently on the program for the SIOPE Annual Meeting in Budapest. We are excited to create an engaging and enriching agenda for the paediatric oncology nursing community, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to connect, learn, and share ideas.
Mentorship programme launch
We are delighted to announce the launch of the SIOPE mentorship programme, directed by Young SIOPE in cooperation with the Nursing Working Group! This initiative will connect young nurses working in paediatric oncology with experienced mentors, to share knowledge and foster professional growth. Together, mentees and mentors will work on personalized goals that enhance professional development, research, or patient care. This unique opportunity enables young nurses to learn from experts and engage in meaningful projects. We are pleased to announce that two successful mentorship matches are ready to begin!
Celebrating achievements
We presented our 2024 Group activities during the SIOP 2024 meeting in Honolulu.
Our heartfelt congratulations to our co-chair, Eugenia Trigoso, who won first prize for her poster presented at the 2024 St. Jude Global Alliance Convening.
Expanding the Nursing Working Group
We are proud to see our Nursing Working Group growing stronger and more dynamic every day. To address specific needs and interests, we have established subgroups focusing on paediatric palliative care, nutrition, research, quality improvement, and sport and exercise. This growth reflects the commitment of our community to continuously improve and innovate for better patient care. This recognition highlights the exceptional work being done by our community to advance paediatric oncology nursing.
