Gisela Michel

Gisela Michel is a Professor in Health and Social Behaviour at the University of Lucerne focusing on psychosocial aspects of childhood cancer patients, survivors and their families. She holds a PhD in psychology with a focus on clinical and health psychology. She has mainly been working in Switzerland, but also completed projects at the New York University, USA, and University of Sheffield, UK, on survivorship, psychosocial late effects and follow-up care.

Childhood cancer deeply affects the children and their family. In the psychosocial working group I would like to help supporting the patients, survivors and their family on their trajectory from diagnosis to any long-term positive or negative outcome.
