María Avilés is a nurse from Spain and a SIOPE nursing group member. Since completing her nursing studies she has worked in different units in Spain and England.
In 2019 she started working at the Paediatric Palliative Unit of Hospital Universitario Niño Jesús in Madrid, currently working in the community palliative care team. She has a Master of Science degree in Perinatal and Childhood Care and is about to finish her PhD studies at Universidad Autónoma of Madrid.
